BRINJAC ENGINEERING GIVES HABITAT FOR HUMANITY A HELPING HAND

HARRISBURG, PA - There is currently much emphasis on renovating and revitalizing center city and downtown Harrisburg. The city has seen enormous improvement on Second Street with many new additions on Restaurant Row. There are also many projects underway to renew and redevelop areas that will benefit the community's needy population. One such effort is that of Habitat for Humanity.

On May 13 through May 17, thirty-five Brinjac Engineering employees have volunteered to help with the Habitat for Humanity project on 1415 Zarker Street in Harrisburg. Seven Brinjac employees will be onsite each day throughout the week including President John Brinjac, who lent a helping hand on Tuesday, May 14. The team of volunteers will be removing existing concrete porches on three Habitat-built homes and replacing them with new wood porches.

Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical, grass-roots Christian housing ministry with the goal of eliminating poverty housing. Through volunteer labor, management expertise, and tax- deductible donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates homes with the help of the homebuyers.
