Charles "Chip" Amer III, P.E., to develop and manage regional branch Williamsport
Regional Office "We have provided engineering design services to the north central portion of the state for many years," John Brinjac, president of Brinjac Engineering, said. "The Williamsport Regional Office will allow us to more efficiently accommodate our clients while further expanding our presence in Pennsylvania." In making the announcement, Mr. Brinjac also appointed Charles "Chip" Amer III, P.E., Team Leader of the Williamsport Regional Office. Previously the executive director of the Lycoming County Water and Sewer Authority, Mr. Amer has more than 15 years of experience as a wastewater treatment planning engineer. During his six-year tenure as executive director of the Lycoming County Water and Sewer Authority, the organization oversaw the construction of more than $30 million in sewer infrastructure projects. In addition to developing and managing Brinjac's regional office in north central Pennsylvania, Mr. Amer will continue to serve the authority as its retained engineer. "Mr. Amer is the ideal candidate for this position," said William Gralski, P.E., environmental team leader for Brinjac's Harrisburg office. "We have developed an excellent rapport with him over the years while providing engineering consultation on various sewer infrastructure projects in Lycoming County. Mr. Amer's responsibilities include planning, design and construction of water and wastewater systems, as well as various other municipal services. He is also responsible for soils determinations, solid waste planning and design, and remediation activities." Author of "A New Approach to Saving Electricity Costs" (The Authority, February 2002), and "A Variation on Transfer Station Technology" (Pennsylvanian, June 1990), Mr. Amer's experience includes planning, design, project management, financing and construction of projects involving wastewater systems, water systems, solid waste facilities, site improvements, and contaminated sites. A graduate of Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering, Mr. Amer received his master's degree in engineering-environmental pollution control from the Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Amer will officially open the Williamsport Regional Office of Brinjac Engineering located at 55 Pierce Lane, Suite 204, Montoursville, PA 17754, on July 15, 2002.
