The Architectural Lighting Master Plan for South Bethlehem will visually enhance the City's historic structures and their viewscape.

LEHIGH VALLEY, PA - Brinjac Engineering, Inc., one of Pennsylvania's largest and leading engineering firms, has been jointly commissioned by the South Bethlehem Historical Society's Architectural Lighting Committee and the City of Bethlehem to complete an Architectural Lighting Master Plan for South Bethlehem.

The Master Plan will be utilized to review and assess the architectural assets of South Bethlehem as to their historic and cultural importance as well as the visual impact architectural lighting will have on the structures and their viewscape. The Master Plan will be an educational tool, showing the community that appropriate architectural lighting can enhance individual properties and the City's image as a whole.

With offices in Lehigh Valley as well as Harrisburg, Philadelphia and Williamsport, Brinjac was chosen from among five other firms who submitted proposals. "We wanted this project to be affordable on all levels - implementation and maintenance," said Sally Handlon, president of the South Bethlehem Historical Society. "Therefore, we chose Brinjac to provide us with a plan that has maximum visual/safety impact while remaining an affordable investment for building owners."

Brinjac's award winning specialty lighting division has completed a number of Architectural Lighting Master Plans including a similar plan for downtown Harrisburg. The firm's lighting division is also recognized for their design work at Lehigh University.

The South Bethlehem Architectural Lighting Committee is a grassroots community group representing the South Bethlehem Historical Society, the City of Bethlehem, Lehigh University, PPL, local merchants and residents. They provide guidance and financial assistance toward the goal of completing appropriate architectural lighting for buildings in South Bethlehem.

Engineering a better future since 1955, Brinjac Engineering, Inc., provides a variety of engineering services across the state through its fully staffed offices in Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Lehigh Valley and Williamsport.
