Brinjac Engineering Completes Services for Gettysburg Museum & Visitor Center For Immediate Release GETTYSBURG, PA Brinjac Engineering is pleased to announce it has completed engineering services for the new Gettysburg Museum and Visitor Center at Gettysburg National Military Park. Brinjac designed the electrical, plumbing, fire protection, telecom, security and lighting for the new 139,000 SF facility. The Museum, located at Gettysburg National Military Park, opens to the public April 14. The Museum and Visitor Center is part of a $125 million project that will also preserve the park's artifacts and archives. The Visitor Center will house the park’s collection of 300,000 Civil War artifacts and 700,000 archival items one of the largest and most significant Civil War era collections in the nation. The Museum will feature 11 state-of-the-art exhibits, interactive information stations, and a new gallery featuring a restored Cyclorama painting. The museum and visitor center has been designed to meet LEED® certification at the Silver level in support of the Gettysburg Foundation and National Parks Service environmental goals. LEED® is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings. The facility was designed to blend into the rural Pennsylvania countryside. Cooper Robertson & Partners of New York City is the design architect. LSC Design of York, Pa., is the architect of record.
